The Research department continues to create and develop its research product base, with Forex at its core, and is expanding into other asset classes to offer a multi-product based research package, unique to the industry.
The current research package product offering includes:
Economic Diaries
Weekly Diaries – Covering the US, UK, EU (incl. Germany, France, Italy), Canada, Australia, Japan and China this product provides information on events that have large market movement potential. Key event dates, such as when central bank figures are due, market holidays which can affect market liquidity and volatility are also included.
Daily Diaries – Delivered daily on a multi-country basis, this report highlights the likely impact of each economic release using an accessible colour coding system.
Technical Analysis
Technical Overview – A Long-term Technical forecasting tool, using a mixture of technical analysis, Gann, standard trend line and candlestick analysis, moving average convergence and divergence, and charting patterns which include all major US and Yen pairings. This research provides a short (2 – 4 week), medium (4 – 8 week), and long (8 week – 6 month) assessment of the market based on a long term trend, displaying where the market is within that trend – key for clients with varying trading goals over varying time frames.
Intraday Analysis – These daily reports look at short-term market direction for major currency pairings and Precious metals markets. Analysis includes traditional technical techniques as well as more advanced methodology developed by WD Gann and Tom DeMark. The emphasis of the report is to look at the market with a trader’s, rather than an analyst’s, perspective – looking for relevant entry and stop-out points as well as attempting to forecast the likelihood of sharp market corrections ahead of their arrival.
Pivot point levels – Published on a daily basis, this indicator provides potential support/resistance levels for various markets based on the more accurate Woodie based pivot point method, and is particularly useful within markets breaking to historical highs or lows, where no real conventional support or resistance is available.
Fundamental Analysis
Weekly Market Wrap – A short, user friendly report covering market developments over the previous trading week.
Economic and Fundamental Outlook – Assessing major economic data releases and their impact in the market, as well as central banks’ positions to interest rates within specific countries. This weekly article is a highly educational research product that evaluates current and developing economic and fundamental developments in the markets.
Markets Today – Written in simple terms, this user-friendly product covers the interrelationship of markets with economic influences. It provides a review of the Forex market in general, economic releases, various fundamental announcements (central bank commentary), plus comments on other markets such as bonds, commodities, equities and their influence within the Forex market.
